About the Author
The author of Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success; Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man; and Straight Talk, No Chaser, Steve Harvey began doing stand-up comedy in the mid-1980s. His success as a stand-up comedian led to the WB’s hit show The Steve Harvey Show, which has won multiple NAACP Image Awards. He was featured in Spike Lee’s film The Original Kings of Comedy. In addition to his nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, Steve hosts a daily talk show on NBC, is the gameshow host for Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud, and most recently NBC’s top rated new show, Little Big Shots. great book i wish i bought the paperback to journalize in the space provided in the book

This is an absolute great book HOWEVER I wouldn't recommend getting the kindle edition or any type of ebook version of it because its also a workbook/journal and in those formats you have no where to write your thoughts and ideas. Buy the paperback or hard cover.

Funny and Powerful Tips for Success

Many of us know Steve Harvey from his work on a variety of media platforms, including television, radio, and online. He is a ubiquitous face in American media, and he also happens to be one of the most charismatic personalities around. He takes that charisma and sage wisdom and packages into Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success. As one of the most successful Americans today, Harvey certainly knows a thing or two about how to get things done. He also knows how to make you laugh along the way. This book is full of warm, funny, and powerful anecdotes and advice that almost everyone can follow to achieve their dreams. Harvey is not a
traditional self-help guru, which makes his advice ring truer than most others. Following his
action plan, I've been able to turn my life into much more of a success.
I've also used a book called 27 Quick Life Transformation Tips: Simple & Effective Methods For Making This Your Best Year Ever. It takes a similar "no-nonsense" approach to dispensing basic life wisdom that can prove to be profoundly transformative. Thetransformation tips are nothing short of brilliant and the action plans are easy to follow and
maintain. Advice in the book ranges from business expertise to keeping your body in shape and healthy. It's a great book that gives you a holistic look at how to change your life in short order. Indeed, many of the tips don't require a lengthy time investment. You can make direct, positive changes in your life and work your way toward success in no time.
If you don't think you can learn anything from a TV game show host or a book of 27 tips, then you would be patently wrong. I'm not big into self-help, but when the advice is so practical and the insights so timeless, it's hard not to take notice. Harvey may be a funnyman, but his life lessons are valuable for almost anyone. If you are struggling in areas of your life to make positive changes, then it may be time to seek the help of someone who's been there. It may also be time to look for the practical advice found in 27 Quick Life Transformation Tips. I know that these books have helped me achieve my goals and become a more successful person.

Finding Your "Gift" Could Start With Reading This Book!

Are you still struggling to be the best "you" you can be? Have you taken a lot of dead-ends that (clearly) led nowhere? Have you read a lot of (basically useless) self-help books and nothing's changed? Well, you might want to give Harvey's new tome a try.

I love Steve Harvey. Always have since I first saw him at Hilarities when we both lived in Cleveland (different addresses :). He's funny, positive, and high-energy and genuinely seems to care about "people" and his audience. It's one of the reasons many of us root for him to do well. He's had his up's and down's in life (working on his third marriage, careers highs and lows, etc.), but these just make him more "human" and easier to relate to. What's great about this book is that he has a specific prescription for all of us to be happy and successful: "Find Your Gift and Live in Your Gift." He believes that each of us has a gift from God and when you find it and tap into it you will live the life that God meant for you and be joyous and successful. His message is very different than "O's', which says "if you really want something, the universe will 'conspire' to give it to you." That puts the onus for success and happiness on some outside "ether" instead of placing it where it belongs, with each of ourselves.

I haven't finished it yet (just started it this a.m.), but I wanted to get a (+) review out there for folks who aren't sure if this is just "another generic self-help book." No, it's not. It's full of details about his life and how he tapped into his gift to overcome personal, emotional, and financial failure. It gives clues on how to find your own gift (including, asking God). If you like Steve Harvey and his fun, bubbly, "can-do" 'tude, you'll love this book. If you don't like him but are curious about his hypothesis, you'll get a lot out of it as well. You may find your gift by first finding this book!
