Ganter supplies a brief background of the art form, from its historical presence in ancient Pompeii through the modern-day hip-hop movement. After defining specific graffiti terminology, Ganter examines different methods and styles. The art descriptions are nicely supplemented with clear instructions along with visual examples. Ganter notably addresses the issue of legality by outlining the parameters of where readers can practice this art form without breaking any laws. The author uses general sketches in red and black ink for the first half of the book to portray the various graffiti designs. The latter portion relies upon full-on color to illustrate the different spraying styles. The book is at times somewhat technical, so those looking for a full art history of graffiti might wish to go elsewhere. Sample exercises for teachers to use in the classroom are also included. This is a great book for artists, painters, taggers, teachers and even graphic designers.
history, verbaige, and an appendix of all sorts of info.
Also science of the can, perspective techniques, use of color.
It's a great book, even for those not artistically inclined, would make for a good addition to a collection.

Even makes a a good coffee table book, very interesting.

Pretty interesting read. Storyline was fast paced, entertaining, sweet and hot. Due to age, distance and a minor secret, Chad and Lana spent years apart without knowing the love they shared for each other. Not to say their relationship was a bed of roses and didn't have a few bumps along the way. They have steamy chemistry and interaction. Overall an enjoyable second chance book.

which is exactly the way I like my books

Have not read the book yet. I finished LONESOME DOVE last night. I mean after all it is a book not far off a thousand pages, which is exactly the way I like my books. As to COMANCHE MOON I don't like the book's format. It seems to be made on a pocket-book format, instead of a full size book. It leaves you reading in the crack of the book. I don't buy pocket books or paper-back books. Only full-size hardbacks. I like the leather bound too. The thing is COMANCHE MOON is probably long time out of print & I am very fortunate to get it in whatever format. Sincerely, thank you very much, Amazon.

The Frontier Is Life And The Search Is For Wisdom

While the prequel to the dynamic Lonesome Dove packs a powerful punch - a blur between good & evil, sadistic killers, bumbling politicians and rumbling battles - it is the oftentimes subtle interplay of characters through dialogue that makes the novel a classic.

Though August McCrae and Woodrow F. Call drive the 803 pages, author Larry McMurtry's delving into the endless/futile quest for love, the "taming" of a vast landscape with irreversible ramifications and noble quests destroyed through ignorance & greed brings special realism to this novel on the Real West.

And in the end, the themes are ultimately timeless, which makes the journey the reader takes so special on many levels.
